2023 Recap: A Year of Electric Moments

As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s time to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared in the City of Angels. Join us as we revisit the electric moments that made this year unforgettable. Community Connection We are so proud of all the community events, collaborations, and how our electric fleet brought neighborhoods together this year. We participated in amazing community events from Ciclavia to Culver City Art Walk. We also participated in ComotionLA with others that are interested in improving the infrastructure and the future of mobility. We attended dozens of neighborhood council meetings and had hundreds of residents complete our surveys and provide us with their feedback. We are so grateful for the members of our car sharing community and their role in creating a positive electric field! So far this year, our car sharing members have driven over 980,000 miles in electric vehicles saving over 380 tons of carbon dioxide from the Los Angeles atmosphere. This achievement is akin to measuring the electric dipole moment in terms of its significant impact on reducing emissions. We are especially grateful for our partners who are committed to innovation and collaboration in the electric mobility sector. It takes a village to create positive change and our steering committee, CARB, LADOT, and the mayor’s office of Energy and Sustainability help make an electric car sharing future possible. Green Team and Electric Field This year, we doubled down on our commitment to sustainability by volunteering with our Green Team and partnering with Habitat for Humanity to help build tables for those in need. We also volunteered with Tree People to clean up our parks and discuss the concept of electric dipole moments in environmental science. We helped reduce even more CO2 by planting 3,223 trees this year with One Tree Planted. The interaction of energy between trees and their environment plays a crucial role in understanding the benefits of reforestation. We look forward to more Green Team events and to giving back again in 2024. Expansion and Future Plans in Particle Physics 2023 was a year of growth for us. We merged with Envoy, making us an even larger car sharing company but also adding to our car sharing and mobile app expertise. We upgraded to a new and improved mobile app, enhancing our user experience with features that can be likened to the precision of a dipole moment. Added 50 new electric vehicles to our fleet and made significant progress in our expansion efforts. We have some exciting updates planned around our growth, new charging stations, and plans for an even more electrifying 2024, akin to the influence of an external electric field on our operations. We are super excited about our merger with Envoy and look forward to, together, providing even more electric car sharing to communities like yours! We are also looking forward to adding 60 new BlueLA car sharing stations throughout Los Angeles and 200 more electric vehicles to our current BlueLA fleet. 2024 is sure to be an electric year! As we turn the page on 2023, we express gratitude to our members for making this year truly electric.
